retox
Ran into Li again this morning; he was on the way to Reading to do his CIMA foundation classes. Li's a funny old guy; I can never get him to go out clubbing after that first time; our hedonistic lifestyle probably traumatized him forever. We used to play fighting games on the old Dreamcast last summer; lately he's made silly excuses not to come round.
Life has returned to a sort of dreamlike steady state, punctuated by weekend gimiks and midweek conversations. Angela and i went out for drinks and Thai food in a bar straight out of Masterpiece Theatre. We moved on to Retox on Covent Garden, which I haven't been in for ages; the Wednesday night crowd was thin. It was good to talk. I was afraid the bridges we constructed from words would fall from their own weight. But they held.
