What makes a great car
Eric Peters has this to say:
"A simple test: If you could care less about the quality of the stereo--and don't even consider turning it on so as not to interrupt your communion with the machine--you're piloting a Great Car. If you like to sit in it, even when it's not running--or always turn back to give it one more glance after you've parked it and are walking away--it's a Great Car."
How very true. Not that the old MG (we've officially christened it Kipp now, purely because of the registration number) necessarily qualifies as a great car to EVERYBODY. But it sure is to me.
Having been a year since I put down the last payments on my beloved roadster, I'd just like to say, Hello, old car! Long may you run.
