Next on my hit list
After buying vaneknok's super duper camera, the consumer electronic gremlin in me has been relatively quiet. I love the feeling of walking into a Dixon's / Curry's / PC World and knowing you'll walk out with a brand new piece of technology that will change your entire world for ever and ever (amen), at least until the warranty runs out and they go to the big plastic and metal recycling center in the sky.
China is a gadget freak's heaven, simply because they make the best knockoffs of cutting edge products, bar none. When South Korea went LeGit and Taiwan began focusing on the chips, it left a big hole for big conglomerates in China's industrial black holes to fill.
I remember in Guangzhou, there was a district where you had tables lined up in warehouses stacked three deep with portable TVs and MP3 players, in ugly plastic "Pansonic" and "Suny" cases (Bet you didn't know Suny made a GameCub, eh?). You could pick up a knockoff TV (and I did) for about 7 pounds and change - the price of a drink in Oceana.
I found this tres cool PVP on a random search and we wants it, preciousss....
(it's no wonder I haven't saved a damn thing since coming here!)
