and the winner is... Starbucks!
...or whatever the beverage of choice Congress uses nowadays to keep awake through this interminable process of canvassing the presidential elections.
Let's see, the polling stations closed at, when, midnight on the 10th of May? And here we are 35 days later and not only have we not gotten near to finishing, but there are already huge questions about the Cebu vote, with the opposition threatening to reexamine each election return until, presumably, we "get the count right" (though what that means is - of course! - open to interpretation).
This is beyond primitive. It's beyond farcical; it's what farcical laughs at when it needs to feel better about itself.
Banana republics and Evil Empires(tm) are laughing at our elections.
