sunday morning
back home for a quick shower after crashing in alex's hotel-for-the-weekend. drinks at the embassy last night - a rather claustrophobic little night spot in the middle of the old money district, near the embassies of belgravia(natch).
I used to think belgravia was some former republic under kaiser germany. (and fitzrovia its neighbor?) meh. london place names are still weird, no matter how long you've had to get used to them.
Alex is finally leaving for his EBT in the states, and will live here at the house for a week. I probably won't have anything to write about that, but if we have avoided murdering each other by day 3, all will be well.
* * *
had a little scare last friday when the new lease was posted through the mail; the tenancy agreement quoted a rent of 850 pounds a month (!). Alex reckons they're trying it on, but I prefer to think of it as an honest mistake.
Anyway they called up and sorted it out. Still on a reasonableish rent for the next 12 months, which makes it easy not to choose to move.
If you're curious what the flat looks like (from the outside, anyway), I live in the room behind the streetlight.
* * *
We might go to the Tate Britain today (to maximize my brand spanking new tate membership card) and see the 60's art show. Or I might just go to a comic convention near King's Cross.
Decisions, decisions.
And so another Sunday passes.
