This week in the life
Van flew off on Monday. Bank holiday. TO console myself I walked up and down the South Bank (mostly down) and tried to jump the queue for Edward Hopper's show at the tate modern.
no such luck.
Yesterday Alex invited me out for a film. Between Troy and Harry Potter, I chose the latter. To be honest, Cuaron (the new director) makes my head hurt, but he does shoot beautiful cinema. If you squint your eyes and pretend you've never heard of the World's Most Oversold Fictional Character (tm and r and c), it's like watching The Neverending Story for the first time - the same fantastical reworking of a very convoluted story.
more later I hope. Found some new old friends on Friendster to boot.
no such luck.
