Cynicism - Mar. 09, 2004
Today's dose of deQuiros:
I am angry and will remain so well after the elections. I am angry not at Elmer Jacinto but at the fact that we have produced youth like him, a medical board topnotcher who proposes to become a nurse in America. I am angry that people imagine elections are the end of things and not the means of things, and that people like Elmer Jacinto will disappear if we ignore them. Well, they will.
The day I stop being angry is the day I become truly cynical about this country.
But having said all this, I must ask now: Who are the real cynics in this country?
