Strange week
It's been a rather weird four days. I'm in Geneva, the heart of "european-ness" that seems like a rather neon glitzed advertisement for Old Europe, nestled in spectacular natural beauty covered by clouds 24/7, holed up with some wonderful people for almost eight hours of training in the chemicals college.
My impressions of Geneva before coming here all had to do with robert Ludlum's novel "The Aquitaine Progression", a bad conspiracy novel which read, well, like a bad conspiracy novel: "Geneva. City of secrets." dun-dun-duuun!
The only time we are able to go out and stretch our legs, is after the shops close. Still, with the help of lovely gaelle I was able to take some amazing photos and even do a bit of shopping.
The good news is, I'll be sneaking a day off tomorrow and walking the countryside (or at least the lakeside)... so it's not a TOTAL loss.
Oh and the chocolates are amazing!
